![]() I enjoyed it too much to just give it up. Luckily, shortly after my graduation I was commissioned with my first big project, and even though the first year was rather challenging I decided to take the risk and pursue illustration as a career. I always loved illustration but I considered it as a side job. I studied graphic design and at first I thought I would continue to work in this field. When did you discover that “Hey, this could actually be a career”? My family would show me their support but I had to work hard and sometimes face criticism. As a child that was the only career I really knew. I loved to draw from an early age, and the studio of my parents was my playground. Where did your childhood artistic inclinations come from? Our next Illustration Month feature comes to us from Amsterdam, with a skilled freelancer who is passionate about bringing visual communication and humor together.Īmsterdam, The about every kid can draw, but not every kid is particularly gifted at it. ADC’s Illustration Month - along with the month itself - is drawing to a close, but not without us showcasing a few more ADC Members who happen to make a living from their drawing talents!
